The University of Waterloo offers a number of enrichment programs for younger students, from day camps for 6- and 7-year-olds to month-long residential programs for high school students.

Each summer, the University of Waterloo offers 2 summer camp experiences for children and teens:
Waterloo is proud to host the FIRST Robotics Waterloo Regional competition.
This annual competition challenges teams of high school students and their mentors "to solve a common problem in a six-week timeframe using a standard "kit of parts" and a common set of rules."
Shad Valley is a summer high school enrichment program with a focus on science, technology, entrepreneurship, and leadership. Waterloo is one of the 10 host campuses across Canada.
Waterloo Unlimited is a trans-disciplinary enrichment program for students in grade 10, 11, and 12.
Programs range from several days to week-long immersions and some give you the opportunity to live in residence.
The School of Planning hosts a design workshop in November each year. Students and teachers from local high schools are invited to join in the fun.
